PTS Aviation Leases CFM56-7B26 Engine to Major UAE Aircraft/Engine Lessor Under Long-Term 5-Year Agreement

MIRAMAR, Fla. – August 10, 2022 – PTS Aviation, LLC, a StandardAero company, has signed a comprehensive 5-year aircraft engine lease agreement (ELA) with a major aircraft and engine lessor based in the United Arab Emirates, which is effective immediately.  The initial ELA establishes the lease-to-purchase of one serviceable OEM-maintained, high-cycle remaining CFM56-7B26 engine for a 60-month term, during a crucial period of projected air traffic recovery and growth in Europe.  

This lease agreement represents PTS Aviation’s fourth publicly announced transaction since StandardAero signed a definitive agreement to purchase the company December 2021, a deal which marked StandardAero’s tenth acquisition since March 2015.  Founded in 1995, PTS has over 150 years of combined aviation management experience and significant expertise buying, leasing and selling engines, modules and high quality used serviceable material (USM).

PTS Aviation acquires two CFM56-7B24/26 turbofans

PTS Aviation, a StandardAero company, has completed the purchase of two CFM56-7B24/26 engines in full LRU/BFE/QEC configuration from a major North American lessor. These engines contain high-demand internal and external components, including attractive life-limited parts (LLPs) and will be used either as rebuild candidates, module donors or full disassembly candidates to support PTS Aviation’s customer base worldwide.

This major purchase represents PTS Aviation’s second publicly announced transaction since StandardAero signed a definitive agreement to purchase the company in February of this year, a deal which marked StandardAero’s tenth acquisition since March 2015. PTS Aviation Leases CFM56-5 to Major North American Part 121 Carrier under Long-Term Agreement

MIRAMAR, Fla. – February 8, 2022 – PTS Aviation, LLC, a StandardAero company, has signed a comprehensive 3-year General Terms and Aircraft Engine Lease Agreement (GTA/ELA) with a major North American Part 121 carrier, effective immediately.  The initial ELA establishes the lease of one serviceable CFM56-5A1F engine for a 36-month term during a crucial period of projected air traffic recovery and growth.  

This lease agreement represents PTS Aviation’s first publicly announced transaction since StandardAero signed a definitive agreement to purchase the company last month, a deal which marked StandardAero’s tenth acquisition since March 2015.  Founded in 1995, PTS has more than 150 years of combined aviation management experience and significant expertise buying, leasing and selling engines, modules and used serviceable material (USM).

StandardAero Signs Definitive Agreement to Purchase PTS Aviation, a Worldwide Supplier of Serviceable Aircraft Engines, Engine Components and Engine Inventory

Scottsdale, Ariz. – January 6, 2022 — StandardAero has signed a definitive agreement to purchase boutique asset management company PTS Aviation, a worldwide supplier of serviceable aircraft engines, engine components and engine inventory.  Founded in 1995, PTS has more than 150 years of combined aviation management experience and significant expertise buying, leasing and selling engines, modules and used serviceable material (USM). PTS is headquartered in Miramar, FL.  PTS is a private company and terms of the transaction were not disclosed.   

The deal marks StandardAero’s tenth acquisition since March 2015.  Most recently, the company acquired Signature Aviation’s Engine Repair and Overhaul (ERO) business, an engine maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) provider that includes well-established brands such as Dallas Airmotive, H+S Aviation and International Governor Services.

StandardAero is an OEM authorized independent MRO provider and a GE Designated Fulfillment Center for CFM56-7B engines.  The company has been providing CFM56-7B heavy maintenance and overhaul services for airlines worldwide from its 162,000 square foot facility located in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada since 2008.  The acquisition of PTS Aviation will expand StandardAero’s CFM56 engine portfolio of services and allow it to accelerate its capabilities to buy, sell and embody USM into the CFM56-7B and its wider portfolio of engine platforms, thereby enhancing the company’s ability to provide customers with highly customizable MRO solutions.

PTS Aviation, Inc, is offering a serviceable CFM56-5B4/P engine fresh from shop visit with a workmanship warranty, available now.  Engine will be available for either lease, lease-to-purchase, or outright sale. This a serviceable CFMI “OEM Certified TruEngine”, (1) CFM56-5B3/5B4/5B6 /P available with 8816 cycles remaining to its first limiter in the fan section.  This engine has produced very strong calibrated test cell parameters, and has been tested to 5B3, 5B4, and 5B6 thrust ratings as well.
